I am drawn to the intricate lines of the human form and the profound ways that it
interacts with the world to capture a sense of juxtaposition and connectivity. This
visual dialogue evokes strong emotions that take viewers out of their comfort zone,
inviting them to see in a new way. I use the camera to celebrate the extraordinary
in the ordinary and to freeze fleeting moments that might otherwise be lost.
New Mexico, with its varied topography—mountains, hoodoos, and white
sands—and its endlessly vivid sunsets, has become the perfect canvas for my
work. The energy of Taos, with its rich tapestry of cultures and tightly woven
communities, offers a profound source of inspiration. Here, time feels slower,
connections feel deeper, and the landscape constantly surprises, offering endless
opportunities for exploration.
Through my art, I hope to create a legacy—capturing the stories, lives, and
landscapes of this place and its people. I’m especially passionate about a new
project that honors the elders of Taos, photographing them alongside what they’re
most proud of while preserving their wisdom and experiences for future
generations.
